“Damn those slippery squirrels!“ Eva lost out again but she would keep trying.

”Come on, Eva! You’re barking up the wrong tree,” said Annie. “I saw it jumping to another one. What is it that you don’t like about these squirrels.”

”I do like them. Very much! And I would love to eat a whole one,” growled Eva.

”Oh dear, just as well they always outrun and outsmart you then.” Annie was reminded that Eva was a dog with a dog’s instincts. Eva was both cute and cuddly and a hunter gatherer.
